Willow Park Graduate Wins Dark Jewel Classic Monday, 21st May 2012 Willow Park's list of black type graduates added another name on Saturday. 4YO mare UPON THIS ROCK (Fastnet Rock-Joleur, by Bite The Bullet) scored a 0.75-length victory in the $200,000 Listed Coolmore Dark Jewel Classic (1400m) for fillies & mares at Scone and in doing so became the 3rd Stakes winner (plus a Stakes placegetter) from her 4 starters to date. Upon This Rock (ridden by Kathy O'Hara for trainer Gai Waterhouse) defeated favoured 5YO mare Shannara (Octagonal-Shadea, by Straight Strike) & fellow 4YO mare Rose Of Peace (Hussonet-Rose O' War, by Danehill).
Upon This Rock was a $225,000 yearling consigned by Willow Park at the 2009 Magic Millions Gold Coast Sale. She took her record to 5 wins & 10 placings from 24 starts for $337,940 earnings.
