Fortunate Kiss wins Listed race

08 Jul 2025

With four previous black type placings on her record, Fortunate Kiss was a much-deserved winner of Saturday's Listed Glasshouse Handicap at the Sunshine Coast.

The six-year-old mare adds to the tally of stakes winners out of Willow Park-sold broodmares this season, as a daughter of 2017 Magic Millions Broodmare Sale graduate Kiss Me Goodbye.

Now trained by Lloyd Kennewell and Lucy Yeomans, who purchased her with Group 1 Bloodstock at last year's Magic Millions Broodmare Sale, Fortunate Kiss is a winner of five races and $625,000.

She is the best of four winners (from four to race) produced by Kiss Me Goodbye, all bred by Tony Falcone, who shelled out $85,000 to purchase the mare from our 2017 draft.

Second in the race with a late challenge was Oughton (More Than Ready), a last start Listed winner who is also out of a WP-sold mare in La Fluorescent.

Two more broodmare sale graduates also produced impressive two-year-old winners on Saturday in Jimmy Recard at Flemington (ex Aquamosa (NZ)) and Raging Force (ex Miss Loren).
